Sweet n Sour Chicken Pizza

Pineapple and its cross section

Image via Wikipedia

For this pizza, you can use a homemade dough recipe or a pre-baked. I usually use the latter.

Pizza is great for lunch or dinner, or even as a snack when friends gather. There are many pizza topping variations, as well as different types of sauces that can be used. This particular recipe uses sweet n sour sauce.

Ingredients

pizza dough or crust

sweet n sour sauce

mozzarella cheese, shredded

parmesan cheese, grated

chicken pieces, precooked

pineapple tidbits, drained

  1. If using dough: Grease pan and work dough to cover.

If not: Place a pizza crust on a baking pan.

  2. Spoon some sweet n sour sauce onto the crust and spread it around with the back of a spoon.

  3. Sprinkle parmesan cheese over the sauce, then mozzarella cheese over that.

  4. Place precooked pieces of chicken where desired on the cheese, then do the same with the pineapple tidbits.

  5. Place the pan in the oven and bake at 350* to 400* (depending on the oven) until the dough is done and the cheese is melted. About 20 minutes.

Tips

  • Purchase grocery items on sale and/or with coupons to save money.

  • It may be cheaper to buy store/generic brand items.

Serving Suggestions

  • Serve this pizza with a side salad of greens and grape or cherry tomatoes.

Forgive the mess

Over the next two or three weeks things may seem messed up with the blog. I am trying out new themes to find one that will work for our purposes here, but I only have a day or two a week to work on this project. Thank you for your patience.

Even More Updates :-)

Good afternoon, everyone. I have been busily working on the blog today. Here are a few updates to look for:

My author.

Sheila Buck’s recipe submissions listed in the sidebar.

New Page: Single Mom Families Cookies

New Page: eBooks (This is my book store information and links)

The sidebars are dwindling in size. Slowly, but it is happening. I think the sidebars have collected too much information over the years, and I am downsizing them so the blog looks more organized. The information is still on the blog, but is now contained on separate pages.

A new theme, that I am trying out.

I hope you are enjoying all of the updates to the blog. There will be more in the coming weeks.

Even if you are not a single mom, or a mom at all, if you take care of children these articles and recipes will be helpful. As a matter of fact, you do not even need children to enjoy the resulting recipes.

Thus far, the page includes:
