Note 1: Do not use dairy products in your tea. These types of products take the effects of the antioxidants away.

Note 2: I do not add sugar to my tea. I got used to this practice slowly, by using less and less sugar over time.

Note 3: Consult a doctor if you are being treated for any illnesses before using any type of food for its’ health benefits.

Chamomile tea has a slight apple fragrance when steeped, the Greek meaning is ‘ground apple’.  This tea is not caffeinated.

Chamomile tea has health benefits such as:

  • It helps to calm your nerves.
  • It helps to promote sleep.
  • It is helpful to diabetics.

This tea is good as a mixed tea. Mixing it with other teas while steeping gives wonderful aromas and pleasant tastes.

Tea pairings to try:

  • Chamomile and orange flavored tea
  • Chamomile and green tea
  • Chamomile and peach tea

Drinking this tea hot with meals may help to prevent weight gain.
